2-Methyl-4,6-bis((octylthio)methyl)phenol is used as a liquid phenolic antioxidant for processing and longterm thermal stabilization for use in organic substrates such as elastomers, plastics etc. at recommended levels of 0.05-0.3% (Baoxu Chemica Undated).
