Isosorbide diesters is the diester of isosorbide (CAS #652-67-5) and a mixture of caprylic acid (CAS #124-07-2) and capric acid (CAS #334-48-5) (EC 2023). It functions as a non-phthalate alternative plasticizer in personal care products, cosmetics, as well as polymers including polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and polycarbonate (PC) polymers (Simar-Mentiѐres et al. 2021, EC 2023).
