polyvinyl chloride (soft and rigid), acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, polyamide, polycarbonate, and
polysulfone (PubChem 2023). In the United States, it is approved as a food contact substance at up to
0.04% for use as UV absorber in linear low-density polyethylene polymers not to be in contact with
infant formula and human milk (U.S. FDA 2023).
